Refining Concepts
Understand l Define l Ideate l Making l Critique
In class we discussed our initial concepts and ideas and considering key 'flavour' words that would be associated with the designs. If the concepts weren't exactly giving off the right impression that we were trying to achieve for our target audience we discussed what could be changed to achieve this. From this I discovered I needed to get more 'messy' with my designs perhaps using watercolour and freehand circles.
For independent study I used the suggestions and experimented with some watercolour. Unfortunately I'm rather clean and tidy with my work usually so it's more work trying to make it seem more 'messy' like melting ice cream.
