Critique of First Mock-Up
Ideate l Critique
In class we had a lectorial on the introduction/map pages and discussed about how we don't have to have a plain street map we can explore various ways of expressing the map while still showing the three sites. We also as a class viewed the class's mock-ups and talked about a few select ones in detail about various aspects they should work on. Through this we were able to go into a formal critique and have our designs discussed with two other students.
My group gave me a lot of things to think about, both good and bad, that I'm going to look into a work on. Aiming specifically focusing on the target audience and the visual flow as children will automatically look at images so having them as the focal point leading into the text would be the better idea. Also receiving feedback from my tutor I need to work on the tone of the colour and the overall look of the brochure, working with the CMYK idea but making sure it's legible.
